Alleluia.

Our Lady of La Leche Shrine

St Augustine, Florida

The Lord led my husband and I here to this beautiful site dedicated to our Blessed Mother, where we prayed for our unborn grandchild and lit a votive candle asking her intercession for a healthy pregnancy, safe delivery, and a holy life.

We also joined our prayers to all those taking part in the Washington March for life Friday, Jan. 25, two days after the 40th anniversary of the Roe v. Wade decision.

Marcia, Thanks for stopping by..It is a beautiful place of prayer especially considering it’s history. Blessings and +

  3. Theresa Says:

Wow…what a great almanac. Congratulations Caroline! (with a hint of jealousy~winks)

Your gratitude list was just joyful to read today.

    Have a blessed week.

  4. Caroline Says:

Theresa, I loved your almanac, too..especially about how you prayed through exhaustion.
Thank you! Don’t children know just how to bless us while they keep us on our knees? LOL
    Blessings always +

  5. Patricia Says:

Caroline, I missed you! I too am jealous..and not even “winking” about it :) A precious, warm, cuddly, beautiful little baby. I’m hoping I’ll get that awesome surprise soon..maybe this year. My son is back in school though, so I don’t know! But so very delighted for you.

It’s so good to get away, but there really is no place like home!

Mmm, that bean soup sounds yummy!

    Love and welcome home xoxox

  6. Angela Pea Says:

Oh, a Baby! How wonderful for you and your family. Tiramisu? That’s just the cherry on top!

  7. Caroline Says:

Angela..Everyone’s really excited ; ) They already heard the heartbeat!
    Oh- that Tiramisu…Worth every calorie.
    Blessings always +

  8. Caroline Says:

Patricia, I could hardly stand not knowing how you were doing and when I saw your post today I had a half smile because of the picture..Hope you’re experiencing some relief.

Well, maybe it will be this year for you..remember, I found out about the wedding not to long after your son got married? So get ready. LOL
All I can think of when I see my daughter-in -law to be is how beautiful she looks..and thinking about the heartbeat and that little face I can’t see yet.
It was so good to get away, but I’m happy to be back. I missed you and prayed for you and all the ladies at the shrine and by the spot where the first Mass in America was celebrated. Such Holy Ground.
    Love you +

  9. Joyce Says:

Our Lady of the Milk? Interesting, is this site dedicated to Our Lady for her intercession on behalf of expectant mothers? And congratulations on your wonderful news. When my daughter and her fiancee announced their plans to us, I must admit to being partially disappointed that a baby wasn’t the reason for their hurry. Prayers for all Joyce

  10. Caroline Says:

Joyce, Yes, it is. If you get a chance go to the link that tells the history of the shrine. It is absolutely amazing..My husband and I couldn’t believe the providence of God’s timing in having us visit there.
I’m happy for your daughter, Joyce. None of it’s perfect with our children; but isn’t it beautiful that each on their journey is reaching for their best and coming home to tell us of their efforts.
Maybe they trust us after all.
    And one day …the Lord.
Prayers for you and thank you always for stopping by.
    Blessings and +

    Praying for your mentor.

Congratulations on becoming a grandma soon.

We have much to be grateful for.

    God bless.

  12. Jenny Says:

Caroline, I am so excited for the added blessing to your family. Yes, cover them with love. Although I would not want one of my daughters to do things “out of order” as you say, in this very dangerous land for babies in the womb, the announcement of a birth would bring relief and love, you know.

Having nursed 7 babies, I have offered many prayers to Our Lady of La Leche. The picture you posted is beautiful. Not like I imagined.

  13. Caroline Says:

Jenny, Thank you and your prayers are most welcome as I know they come from one who has lived the message of life. It is such a dangerous culture for babies..I began praying and covering them with His love the minute I found out and I’ll never stop. Isn’t that shrine amazing? We didn’t even know it was there, the Lord just led us to it.
Blessings to you always and all the wonderful things you’re doing at Suscipio. +

  14. Caroline Says:

Thank you, Victor…I pray that the Lord gives me all the grandma graces available : )
Your prayers for my mentor are much appreciated.
    Blessings always +
